Effective date: July 21, 2026
Korean Whodunit ("we", "us") operates koreanwhodunit.com, a Korean language learning service built around interactive mystery cases. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
Account information. If you create an account or sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google. We never see your Google password.
Guest progress. If you play as a guest, your case progress and vocabulary notebook are stored locally in your browser (localStorage) and never leave your device.
Learning progress. For signed-in users, we store your case progress, notebook entries, and subscription status so you can continue across devices.
Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details are sent directly to Stripe and never touch our servers. We receive only a confirmation of payment and subscription status. See Stripe’s privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.
We use your information to operate the service, save your progress, process subscriptions, respond to support requests, and improve our cases. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
We use local storage and essential cookies to keep you signed in and to save guest progress. We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand which cases and clues players find difficult.
We rely on the following processors: Google (sign-in), Stripe (payments), and Hostinger (hosting). Each processes data under its own privacy policy and appropriate safeguards.
We keep account data for as long as your account exists. You may request a copy of your data or ask us to delete your account and associated data at any time by contacting us. Depending on where you live (including the EU/EEA and UK), you may have additional rights of access, correction, portability, and objection.
Korean Whodunit is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date above and, for significant changes, notify signed-in users.
