Korean Whodunit ("we", "us") operates koreanwhodunit.com, a Korean language learning service built around interactive mystery cases. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
No accounts. Korean Whodunit does not offer or require user accounts. We do not ask for your name, email address, or any password to play.
Your progress. Your case progress and vocabulary notebook are stored locally in your browser (localStorage) and never leave your device. We cannot see them.
Contact email. If you email us, we receive your email address and message, which we use only to respond.
Review submissions. If you submit a review through our feedback form, we receive the name you choose to give (optional), your rating, and your message. Submissions are processed and stored using Google Forms and Google Sheets (Google LLC). We use reviews to improve the site and — only after manual approval — may display them publicly on our pages.
We use information to operate the service, respond to support requests, and improve our cases. We do not sell your personal information.
We use local storage to save your progress on your device, and may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand which cases players find difficult. Our grammar guide pages may display third-party advertising (such as Google AdSense); ad networks may use cookies or similar identifiers to serve and measure ads, and where required by law we will ask for your consent before personalized ads are shown. Cases themselves contain no advertising.
We rely on the following providers: Hostinger (hosting), Google Fonts (typography), Google Forms & Sheets (review form and storage), and — on guide pages — advertising networks such as Google AdSense. Each processes data under its own privacy policy and appropriate safeguards.
Progress data lives only in your own browser — clear your browser storage to erase it. Support emails are kept only as long as needed to help you. You may request a copy or deletion of any data we hold by contacting us. Depending on where you live (including the EU/EEA and UK), you may have additional rights of access, correction, portability, and objection.
Korean Whodunit is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date above and, for significant changes, post a notice on the site.
